Abstract

Demographic change represents a major challenge for all countries under current international variables, as they strive to preserve their entity and social structure against factors threatening national identity, social values, and prevailing political and economic trends. This study aims to describe and analyze the impact of demographic change on the political structures and social fabric of the Libyan state during the period from 2011 to 2023, utilizing a descriptive and analytical approach. The study discusses internal and external causes driving this change, including political instability, security breakdown, and illegal migration flows, highlighting their profound impacts on national sovereignty, identity, language, and state institutions.
